Cyclone Tennis Signs Anna Garcia

AMES, Iowa – Iowa State tennis coach Armando Espinosa announced the signing of Anna Garcia, a prep standout from Catalonia, Spain. Garcia will be eligible to compete in the fall of 2014.
“We are thrilled to add a player the caliber of Anna to our team,” Espinosa said. “She will come in and compete for a spot on our roster, giving us additional depth that is important at this level.”
Garcia was a finalist in three tournaments in 2013, earning the individual title at the Monty Tennis Tour. She has ranked among the top-250 players in Spain since 2010, topping off at 181st in 2012. Garcia has earned victories over three players ranked in the top-150, including the No. 56 player in the rankings.
