DES MOINES, Iowa - The Iowa State women's basketball team (1-0, 0-0 Big 12) takes on the Drake Bulldogs (0-0, 0-0 MVC) on Sunday, Nov. 15 at 2 p.m. in Des Moines, Iowa. Iowa State is looking to win its sixth straight against Drake. The game will air on ESPN3.

- Iowa State won its 21st season opener under head coach Bill Fennelly on Friday night as the Cyclones handed Hampton a 95-59 loss. Iowa State hits the road to take on Drake in Des Moines, Iowa, which is the season opener for the Bulldogs.
- Bridget Carleton led Iowa State in its season opener with 28 points and 11 rebounds for a double-double. Carleton was 10-of-17 from the floor and 5-of-11 from deep. Carleton's 28 points also broke Bryana Fernstrom's record (25) of most points in a freshman debut.
- Seanna Johnson tallied the 14th double-double of her career against Hampton with 11 points and 10 rebounds. Jadda Buckley (11), TeeTee Starks (11) and Fernstrom (10) rounded out the Cyclones in double figures against the Pirates.
- Iowa State was selected to finish fourth in Big 12 play, which is its highest preseason selection since the 2008-09 season. - The 2015-16 season marks the 21st in the tenure of Fennelly. Fennelly has led Iowa State to 16 NCAA Tournament appearances, which is the most of any Big 12 team since 1997. Fennelly boasts a 435-206 record at Iowa State and a 601-259 record in his 27-year career as a head coach. His 601 career wins lists him in the top-20 in the NCAA among active coaches.
