IRVING, Texas – The Iowa State women's basketball team placed two student-athletes on the 2015 Academic All-Big 12 teams. The Cyclones' senior
Brynn Williamson earned a spot on the first team, while sophomore
Seanna Johnson was named to the second team.
Williamson earned first-team honors for the first time in her career, after being named to the second- team the last two seasons. The Kansas, City, Mo. native graduated with her degree in child, adult and family services in December. Williamson is second on the team in scoring with 11.6 points per game and second in rebounding with 6.3 boards. She recently netted her 1,000th career point at Oklahoma State and ranks 26h in school history with 1,028 points.
Johnson earned a spot on the Academic All-Big 12 second team for the first time in her career. The Brooklyn Park, Minn. native is majoring in criminal justice. Johnson has been incredible on the boards this season for Iowa State, as she currently ranks first in the Big 12 in rebounds with 9.3 per game. Johnson also is averaging 11.3 points.
The Cyclones will be back in action Saturday at 11 a.m. at West Virginia. The game will air on FSN.
