AMES, Iowa - The Iowa State women's basketball team (14-7, 5-5 Big 12) returns to Hilton Coliseum to take on West Virginia (14-8, 4-6 Big 12) at 6 p.m. on Saturday. The game against the Mountaineers will be broadcast on Cyclones.tv and fans are encouraged to wear white for ISU's first white-out of the season.

- Iowa State returns home after dropping its third-straight in Big 12 play at Oklahoma, 66-75. The Cyclones look to bounce back against West Virginia at home on Saturday. Iowa State is 1-4 against the Mountaineers and 0-2 in Hilton Coliseum.
- Senior point guard Nikki Moody is averaging 18.2 points and 7.8 assists over the last six games. The senior from Dallas, Texas became just the third student-athlete in the Big 12 to score 30 or more points in conference play as she totaled 30 against Oklahoma on Wednesday.
- Moody was also named to the Nancy Lieberman Award Watch List on Friday, which honors the nation's top point guard. Moody is averaging a team-high 13.4 points per game and is ninth nationally in assists with 6.9 per game.
- In conference play, Iowa State ranks third in the nation in assisted basket percentage with assists on 73.1 percent of its baskets.
- Iowa State ranks seventh in the nation in assist-turnover ratio (1.42). Senior point guard Nikki Moody, the top returning point guard in the Big 12, is ninth nationally in assists per game with 6.9 and second in the Big 12.
- Moody became the 26th player in Iowa State history to reach 1,000 career points. Against Oklahoma State, Moody moved into 17th all-time passing Jolene Leseman (1,201). Moody sits at 1,247 points for her career, which puts her one point shy of 16th all-time, which is owned by Nicky Wieben (1,248).
- Moody is second in the nation in career assists (678) and third nationally in career assists per game (5.83). Moody ranks second in Iowa State history in assists with 678, she trails the school record held by Lyndsey Medders by just 41. Moody also led the Cyclones in assists with 163 last season, becoming the fifth Cyclone under Fennelly to lead ISU in assists in three-consecutive seasons. Moody would be the first Cyclone under Fennelly to lead ISU in assists four-straight seasons.
- Senior Brynn Williamson is just 18 points shy from reaching 1,000 career points. Williamson would be the 27th player in Iowa State history to reach the milestone.
- Iowa State is first in the Big 12 and fourth in the nation in 3-pointers per game, averaging 9.4 per contest. Williamson leads the Big 12 and is 61st nationally with 2.48 made per game. Junior Kidd Blaskowsky ranks 40th nationally in 3-point field goal percentage (40.7%).
- Williamson ranks 15th in the nation in active career 3-point field goals made, with 234. Her 234 makes ranks seventh in ISU history. She is seven makes away from passing Alison Lacey in sixth with 240. She also ranks 13th in active career 3-pointers attempted with 693 total. She is 31 attempt behind Megan Ronhovde, who ranks third in ISU history.
- Sophomore guard Seanna Johnson is second in the Big 12 Conference with 9.3 rebounds per game and first among active players. Johnson has recorded 10 double-figure rebounding games so far this season.
- The 2014-15 season marks the 20th in the tenure of Fennelly. Fennelly has led Iowa State to 15 NCAA Tournament appearances, which is the most of any Big 12 team since 1997. Fennelly boasts a 430-200 record at Iowa State and a 596-253 record in his 27-year career as a head coach. His 596 career wins lists him as 17th in the NCAA among active coaches.
Scouting West Virginia
- West Virginia sits at 14-8 on the season and 4-6 in Big 12 play. WVU opened conference play on a four-game losing streak and has gone 4-2 since then.
- Junior guard Bria Holmes has scored in double figures in 21 of 22 games this season. She is second in the Big 12 averaging 20 points per game. Senior forward Averee Fields is the only other Mountaineer averaging double-figure scoring (14.0).
- WVU is outrebounding its opponents by 7.3 rebounds per game. In its last game, WVU outrebounded the Horned Frogs 52-30.
- Senior guard Linda Stepney leads the Mountaineers with 4.9 assists per game, which ranks third in the conference.
- The Mountaineers lead the Big 12 with 6.8 blocks per game. Redshirt sophomore center Lanay Montgomery is leading the league with 3.7 blocks per game.
