Moody Named A WBCA All-Region 5 Nominee

ATLANTA – Iowa State women's basketball senior Nikki Moody was named a WBCA All-Region 5 nominee for the 2015 Division I Coaches' All-America Team Wednesday. Moody is one of just six players selected from the region.
Moody, a Dallas, Texas native, had another breakout season for the Cyclones, leading the team in scoring with 14.5 points per game. She also averaged 6.8 assists and finished her Iowa State career as the Cyclones' all-time assists leader with 745. Her 745 assists also rank sixth in Big 12 history.
Moody scored in double figures 23 times this season and 68 times in her career. She also dished five or more assists in 27 games this season. For her efforts, she was named a unanimous selection to the All-Big 12 first team.
The selection committee will determine the 10-member WBCA Division I Coaches' All-America Team from the 52 candidates on the All-Region teams.
Iowa State is one of just two Big 12 teams to have a player named an All-Region nominee each of the last six years.
