Women's Relay Squad Makes Team History

DES MOINES, Iowa - The Iowa State women's 4x1600-meter relay team highlighted day two of the Drake Relays for the Cyclones.
The 4x1600-meter relay team comprised of Perez Rotich, Evelyne Guay, Katherine DeSimone and Abby Caldwell crossed the finish line in 19:23.90. The squad's time clocks in as the fourth-fastest time in school history. The Cyclones set the school record in the race last season at the Drake Relays.
Julie Wiemerslage closed out the meet for Iowa State, finishing the 5,000-meter run in 17:29.57.
The Drake Relays continue tomorrow morning with Jhoanmy Luque kicking off action for the Cyclones in the long jump at 10 a.m. CT. Follow Iowa State track and field's twitter account @cyclonetrackxc for live updates on the meet.
