Hello from Russia!
This trip has definitely been one to remember. Two things I have learned about Russia so far is that the language is next to impossible to pick up and they love their jelly and fish here.
Playing at the World Championships is an amazing experience. The international game is so exciting because we get to play against the best players in the world. The style of play changes from country to country, and every single player is talented. It is always a tough tournament to play in.

Our first three pool games were against Mali, France and Belgium. After a couple close games we ended up finishing third in our pool. Today, in the round of 16, we crossed over to play Serbia, who finished second in another pool. We were down the entire game and fought back to tie it up with about four minutes left in the final quarter. From there, we took the lead and never looked back to advance to the quarterfinal on Friday. With this win, Canada is one of the top-8 teams in the world!
Canada has stormed back to take the lead with less than four minutes left! 51-48 Canada with 3:50 remaining #WeAreTeamCanada

Tomorrow we get the day off and we are taking a trip to see some sites in Moscow. We are visiting the Red Square, St. Basil's Cathedral and Sparrow Hills. I am happy to get a little bit of rest but excited for our last three games, then off to Ames in August. Can't wait!
Go Canada! Go Cyclones!
