Turning Point of the Game
In the 12th minute, Koree Willer started streaking right down the middle of the field making multiple Bulldog defenders miss including the goalkeeper and buried a wide-open shot from five yards out right in front of the goal. Koree Willer scored her second goal of the game in the 47th minute. Freshman Emily Steil fired a shot that Drake goalkeeper Haley Morris made an incredible save that then ricocheted off the crossbar and Willer was right there to put it in. Steil was awarded with an assist.

Koree Willer. The junior forward has hit her stride at the perfect time and has scored three goals in the past two games. Willer found the back of the net twice this afternoon on a career-high six shots. Four of her six shots were on goal. Late in the game, freshman Taylor Wagner put in a corner kick that bounced around and Willer was looking for a hat trick, but she wasn't quite able to get a strong foot on it and the shot went wide
Coach Said It
"It definitely wasn't some of our best soccer that we have played,” head coach Tony Minatta said. “I even think that we played better in some of the losses last weekend. However, we competed and every person that stepped on the field competed and that's something that we didn't have last weekend. For the team to respond after those two losses and get back on the road again against a team that is out to prove something against us. It was great to see that and it gives us confidence going into conference play. Koree Willer is getting more confident and she is hitting her stride right now. Maribell Morales is really stepping up also.”
