The Cyclones had another challenge at Baylor on Wednesday, but the visitors were able to rally from 2-1 down to defeat the Bears in five sets. The Cyclone offense guided the way, as ISU hit .312 as a team, and recorded a season-best nine service aces. Iowa State has now hit over .300 as a team 10 times in 2016, the most since the Cyclones had 11 matches hitting over .300 in 2011.
Winners of seven of its last eight matches, Iowa State will be looking for its seventh-straight victory over OU, which would be the longest for either team in series history. An ISU win would also ensure the Cyclones of a third-place finish in the Big 12, marking the eighth-straight season with a top-three league finish.
Oklahoma will close out 2016 on Saturday after a challenging season that sees them come into Saturday at 14-14 and 5-10 in Big 12 play. The Sooners are still a dangerous side, with middle blockers Marion Hazelwood and Micaela Spann leading the offense. All five of OU's starting hitters are averaging over 2.00 kills per set on the season. Former Cyclone defensive specialist Rachel Manriquez will be at libero for Oklahoma.
