Weather Causes Softball Schedule Changes

AMES, Iowa – The Iowa State softball team's Cy-Hawk showdown against Iowa, which was scheduled for April 27, has been postponed due to inclement weather anticipated in the Ames area. The game will now be played on Tuesday, May 3, with first pitch set for 4 p.m. Iowa State's upcoming weekend series schedule with Oklahoma has also been adjusted.
This year's installment of the annual rivalry game will have added significance with implications for the Iowa Corn Cy-Hawk Series. With a victory, Iowa State can tie the Iowa Corn Cy-Hawk series and ensure the trophy remains in Ames for an unprecedented third-consecutive year.
In addition, with high chances of rain on Saturday and Sunday, the upcoming weekend series schedule against Oklahoma has been adjusted. The Cyclones and Sooners will now play a double-header on Friday at 2 & 4 p.m. The final game of the series is set for Saturday at 12 p.m.
