AMES, Iowa - The Iowa State softball team returns to Big 12 play this weekend with a three-game series at Oklahoma State. The series will start Friday at 7 p.m. with game two Saturday at 2 p.m. and the series finale at noon Sunday. All games will be played at Cowgirl Stadium in Stillwater.

Cyclone Headlines
1. The Iowa State softball team (15-19, 0-3 Big 12) travels to Stillwater, Oklahoma for a three-game series with the Oklahoma State Cowgirls this weekend. The Cyclone and Cowgirls will play April 8 (7 p.m.), April 9 (2 p.m.) and April 10 (Noon).
2. The Cyclones fell in a pair of road games this week against instate foes. On Tuesday, Iowa State dropped a 9-5 decision to Drake, followed by a 3-2 loss to UNI on Wednesday.
3. Freshman Kaylee Bosworth set a new season-high with three RBIs vs. Drake. The first baseman was 2-of-3 at the plate on the day, including a 2-RBI double to center in the top of the first inning. Bosworth was 1-of-2 and scored a run vs. UNI on Wednesday.
4. Junior Mandi Moore was strong in relief against UNI. Moore entered the game with no outs in the bottom of the third inning and performed admirably, giving up just one run on four hits in four innings of action.
5. Brittany Gomez has come on strong of late and showed why she was one of the top returning offensive players in the conference. The senior is hitting .424 (14-for-33) over the past 10 games and is now No. 4 in the Big 12 in hits at 46. She has played six fewer games than leaders Jessie Scroggins (BU) and Sarah Smith (BU).
6. Gomez is currently on a 14-game hitting streak and has recorded a hit in 32 of Iowa State's 34 games so far this season. She has reached base safely in all 34 games. The senior also leads the Big 12 in steals (18) and steals per game (.53), as she is well on her way to becoming the first player in school history with 20+ steals in four consectuvive seasons.
7. In game one of Iowa State's series with Baylor, Sammie Hildreth put the first Cyclone score of the game on the board with a solo home run. It was the senior's third homer in three games after entering the stretch with one home run all season.
8. Nychole Antillon provided perhaps the highlight of the weekend with a three-run home run in game two of ISU's series vs. Baylor. The sophomore launched the long ball to center field, tying the game at 5-5 in the bottom of the first inning. It was her third homer of the season.
9. Freshman Sally Woolpert provided the key play that led to ISU's victory over Indiana State. With the game knotted at 2-2, Woolpert hit a solo home run in the bottom of the fourth that would prove to be the game-winner. It was Woolpert's second homer of the season.
10. Freshman pitchers Savannah Sanders and Emma Hylen were both strong in the Cyclone win over Indiana State. Sanders got the win, giving up two runs on three hits in four innings of action. Hylen recorded her third save of the season, shutting the Sycamore attack down in three innings without surrendering a hit.
