Athletics Promotes "Cyday Friday" Initiative

AMES, Iowa - "Cyday Friday" is a fan engagement initiative designed to motivate each and every Cyclone fan to continue to gear up for game day. For years, fans have celebrated their support of the Cyclones by wearing their favorite cardinal and gold clothing to work, school, and in the community on Fridays. We want to continue to ramp up the energy and enthusiasm of fans as they prepare for Saturday's season-opening game.
We invite you to join Iowa State Athletics in encouraging fans throughout Iowa and beyond to demonstrate their support for the Cyclones and wear cardinal and gold wherever they may go on Fridays. With this initiative, we hope to build even more excitement for our team through the most dedicated fan base in all of college sports.
Each Friday, starting September 2, we want fans to submit photos on social media (Twitter & Instagram) using the hashtag #CydayFriday. As a part of this promotion, we will select one winning photo each week to receive prizes. Fighting Burrito will be sponsoring this contest for the first couple of weeks as we'll be giving a $25 gift card and a signed photo of Matt Campbell to the contest winner.
