Iowa State picked up its fifth-straight win on Monday night with a 3-0 win over North Dakota inside Hilton Coliseum. The Cyclone defense held the Fighting Hawks to a .075 hitting percentage, with Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week Hali Hillegas getting 28 digs in the victory. The Cyclones have held opponents to a .150 hitting percentage on the season, ranking 11th in the NCAA and the second-best defensive effort in school history, only behind 2009's .148.
However, a challenge awaits Saturday in Waco. The Cyclones were swept by Baylor back on Oct. 4 in Ames, with ISU being held to a .113 hitting percentage. The Bears are winners of three-striaght after sweeping TCU at the Ferrell Center on Wednesday. BU has been on its winning run despite not having the services of All-American outside hitter Katie Staiger. Baylor is currently second in the Big 12, with a 9-2 record on the conference season.
