Iowa State Honors Its Recent Graduates
12.15.2017 | Athletics, Academic Services
AMES, Iowa – Iowa State student-athletes are excelling in the classroom.
Last month, Iowa State learned it recorded its highest overall Graduation Success Rate (GSR) score in school history at 84 percent, tying for fourth in the Big 12 Conference. The Cyclones' single year FGR was at 73 percent (based upon the 2010 cohort), the second-highest total in the league.
Iowa State's recent Fall graduates affirm this data, as many Cyclone student-athletes will earn their diplomas this weekend, the No. 1 goal for every Cyclone when they first step foot on campus.
The Office of Student-Athlete Development honored its most recent graduates this afternoon at its annual graduation luncheon.
"This is a great accomplishment and a huge point in my life," All-Big 12 wide receiver Allen Lazard said. "Having a degree at Iowa State is something that will carry a lot of weight for me as I head into my professional career."
Congratulations to the 2017 Cyclone Fall graduates!
