IOWA CITY, Iowa – The Iowa State tennis team (3-2, 0-0 Big 12) dropped its dual to Iowa (4-0, 0-0 Big 10), 4-0, at the Hawkeye Tennis Complex on Sunday.
The Cyclones picked up a win in doubles from the duo of Annabella Bonadonna and Margarita Timakova. The pairing beat Anastasia Reimchen and Natalie Looney by a score of 6-3.
The loss on Sunday snapped a three-match winning streak for the Cyclones.
Iowa State will look to get back on track next weekend with three duals in Des Moines. The first dual will be against the Omaha Mavericks on Friday. Later on Friday, the Cyclones will do battle against in-state rival Drake. Iowa State will finish up the weekend against Illinois State in the home-opener for the Cyclones. That match will be played at Life Time Fitness in Des Moines.
The match against Omaha will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday.
