FULLERTON, Calif. - The Iowa State soccer team (2-4-1) fell 2-1 at Cal State Fullerton (4-1-2) on Friday evening at Titan Stadium. Junior Klasey Medelberg netted her first goal of the season in the 90th minute to get Iowa State on the board, while freshman Abby Harbin led the way with three shots, including one on goal for the Cyclones.

Turning Point of the Game
The match was scoreless with less than five minutes to play in the first half when Fullerton was able to quickly change ends and strike on a goal from Sarah Fajnor. The Titan senior made the opportunity herself, striking the ball perfectly from just outside the 18-yard box to place it in the left upper 90 to put the Titans on the board.

Cyclone Game Ball Goes to...
Klasey Medelberg. The junior came up with her first goal of the season on an outstanding strike from just outside the box in the game's 90th minute. Although it wouldn't be enough to start a comeback, it was good to see the Cyclone forward stay aggressive, attack the goal and find the back of the net.

Coach Speak
"We've seen a lot of growth out of the team. We just played a very good team and we played them really tight. For Klasey to get that goal at the end was big for her confidence moving forward, and at this point we just need to continue to work and grow and get better because we're dealing with a lot of young players that need to get experience in these games.
