Wise Earns Third Big 12 Freshman of the Week Honor

IRVING, Texas – Freshman forward Madison Wise nabbed her third Big 12 Freshman of the Week honor, the league announced Monday. With the award, Wise is now tied for the most Big 12 freshman honors on the season.
Wise, a native of Greenfield, Ind., scored a team-high and a career-high 21 points against Oklahoma State on Saturday. The freshman was phenomenal, netting 66.7 percent from the floor on 8-of-12 shooting and a blistering 5-of-7 from long range, tying her career-high with five triples.
Wise also hauled in a team-high nine rebounds, while dishing two assists and recording a steal. The game was the first 20-point game of her career and her 10th game this season in double figures.
Iowa State is back in action on Wednesday, Feb. 14 at 6:30 p.m. in Fort Worth, Texas when it takes on TCU.
