Today is our first full day in Costa Rica. The team all came down to breakfast around 9 a.m. It is so yummy! There is fresh fruit, an omelet bar, pancakes, a waffle maker and plenty more to enjoy. The best part, though? The amazing view from the outside balcony where we eat. 36828

After breakfast we have free time for a few hours and some of us go exploring in the hotel and walk the golf course. Meredith and I did some cardio and weights since we will not be playing tonight and we got a good sweat in!

At 2:30 p.m. it's time for pre-game meal. The hotel staff prepared a fantastic meal for us. We had spaghetti, chicken, fish, baked potatoes and veggies. We had a great lunch guest joining us, Bridget just landed from her tour with Canada basketball in Japan! We're so excited to have her back with us.

After our meal, the team got dressed, taped and whatever else is necessary for the game. We met downstairs at 4:15 p.m. and got on the bus for the game. We went downtown to BN Arena and it was really exciting to see where the locals live. Everyone seems so friendly here.

36827 Tip-off was at 6 p.m. against University of Ottawa from Ontario and we played a close game and got 'W'. Everyone plays well and did some really good things to help the team. I am especially proud of our new additions to the team. We have some work to do but I know this team will be great!
