Happy Sunday! It's our second full day here in Costa Rica! Â
Our alarms go off early and we wrap up another delicious breakfast by 9:30 a.m. At 10:00 a.m. our tour of the city begins. We got to see up close churches, coffee plantations, the National Soccer Arena, and so many other neat Costa Rican features and landmarks. At the end of the tour we went to numerous gift shops and got souvenirs, t-shirts, and coffee! It was so amazing getting to see life in Costa Rica away from the resort.Â
After we returned from the tour we had free time, and of course went to lay out by the pool to soak up some rays. After relaxing at the pool it was time to eat pre-game meal. Pre-game meal consisted of spaghetti, chicken, salad, fish, rolls, fruits, and vegetables...YUM!
After eating pregame meal, we got changed into our game uniforms and taped and ready to play. We bussed over to the arena to play the Costa Rican National team, and we got the Win! It was a fun game, everyone got better, and we played great team basketball.Â
After the game we bussed back to the hotel and ate a postgame meal at the hotel restaurant. The day was filled with so much fun, but it's bed time now, so we can be rested up and ready for a full day tomorrow!
