Women's Basketball PA Announcer Tryouts Coming Up

AMES, Iowa – The Iowa State Athletic Department is looking for a public address announcer for all home women's basketball games for the 2019-20 season, in addition to other candidates to grow the pool of announcers for alternate and fill-in events. The PA Announcer's duties include announcing starting line-ups, all game action, public address announcements, presentations, contests and working closely with the marketing team to enhance the overall atmosphere.
The announcer will be expected to have a general understanding of basketball and the ability to work a flexible schedule and in a fast-paced environment. Applicants should have experience announcing events that parallel Iowa State's competitive level and audience size.
The public address announcer is compensated at a per-event rate, discussed upon offer. This position is considered part-time and does not include any university benefits.
All interested applicants should submit an application and sample recordings here no later than May 31. Interviews and auditions with selected candidates will be coordinated the week of June 3.
