AMES, Iowa - The Iowa State volleyball team begins a four-match home-stand on Tuesday night when the Cyclones host South Dakota. First serve will be at 6:30 p.m.
Tomorrow night's match is Latin America Heritage Night, during which the Cyclones will share highlights and moments from their trip to South America over the summer while celebrating Latin culture during the match.
Tickets to Tuesday's match can be bought online now, here, or starting one hour prior to the match at the Hilton Coliseum Ticket Office at the lower Southwest corner of Hilton. Students receive free admission to all Iowa State home volleyball matches, and should enter at the North entrance.
Tuesday's match will be the first match in which season ticket holder parking passes and rules will be in effect. Fans with parking passes may park in any spot in Lots C1, C2, C3 and D1. The numbers on the bottom of the parking pass DO NOT indicate a specific spot where fans have to park.
A portion of the road outside the lower West side of Hilton will be closed from Sept. 3-13. The drive lanes off of Lincoln Way and Center drive will both remain open, but fans will be unable to pass through from North to South or vice versa. The lower West doors and Ticket Office are still accessible, but only from the South side of Hilton.
Iowa State Athletics has a clear bag policy for all home events, for more information click here.
Iowa State went 1-1 at the Rebel Invitational last weekend, falling to UCF in five sets and beating hosts Ole Miss in four sets. Cyclone right side Eleanor Holthaus was named to the Rebel Invite All-Tournament Team, earning her 2.44 kills per set at a team-best .309 hitting percentage and also adding 1.22 blocks per set. Avery Rhodes recorded 10 blocks (one solo, nine assists) vs. the Rebels to earn Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week honors.
The South Dakota Coyotes come to Ames off of a 3-0 weekend at IUPUI, sweeping Murray State and earning four-set wins over hosts IUPUI and Valparaiso. Leading the way for USD was freshman Elizabeth Juhnke, who recorded 4.73 kills per set at .308 hitting. Ex-Nebraska Cornhusker Sami Slaughter is second on the team with her 3.60 kills per set.
This will be the fifth all-time meeting between the two teams, with Iowa State having swept each of the previous four. ISU and USD are meeting for the fourth time in seven years this week, with the last meeting coming in Vermillion in 2016. This will be South Dakota's second trip to Ames, having played at Hilton in 2014.
