-Olivia Edwards scored the game-winning, golden goal vs. BU in the 104th minute to propel the Cyclones to victory. It was her first career goal, and earned Edwards Big 12 Freshman of the Week honors.
-Sophomore Jordan Silkowitz tallied a career-high eight saves in a spectacular performance vs. Baylor. She was named the Big 12 Goalkeeper of the Week.
-Silkowitz ranks No. 1 in the Big 12 in saves (16) and No. 2 in saves per game (5.33) this season. She was the first Cyclone goalkeeper to earn Big 12 weekly honors since Sep. 6, 2016 (Lindsey Hendon)
-Following the win over Baylor, ISU had four combined Big 12/national honors earned by three different players, the most in a single week in program history. Edwards and Silkowitz earned their Big 12 weekly nods, while Silkowitz and Kenady Adams were honored with Top Drawer Soccer Team of the Week recognition.
-Adams gave ISU a 1-0 first-half lead vs. Baylor with a goal from outside the 18-yard box (assisted by Tavin Hays). Adams now ranks No. 3 on the team with three career goals.
-Kassi Ginther leads the team and ranks T-No.6 in the Big 12 in points on the season with three. Ginther scored her first goal of the season at Oklahoma State, and tallied an assist on Olivia Edwards' golden goal (104') vs. Baylor.
-The Cyclones have shared the ball beautifully so far this year, ranking T-No. 2 in the Big 12 in assists with four. Mira Emma, Kassi Ginther, Tavin Hays and Courtney Powell are all tied with one each.
-Iowa State ranks T-No. 3 in the Big 12 in goals scored this season with three. A year ago, the Cyclones were last in the conference, scoring five goals total in conference play.
-No. 12 TCU (1-0-1) is now the fourth-consecutive ISU opponent that has been unbeaten entering their match vs. the Cyclones.
-Iowa State is one of two teams in the country, joining Virginia Tech, to have already faced two teams currently ranked among the top seven nationally in the United Soccer Coaches Poll. The Cyclones have faced No. 4 WVU and No. 7 OSU.
-Friday's 2-1 win over BU was ISU's first overtime victory in Big 12 play since 2016. The Cyclones had lost or tied their previous eight overtime contests in conference play, going 0-5-3 in such instances since Oct. 21, 2016 (vs. Baylor).
-Three Cyclone newcomers have seen game action so far this year. Silkowitz, a sophomore, has played all 284 minutes in goal, while Edwards and Meghan Carl are the lone freshmen to see time on the pitch thus far. Edwards has started all three matches, while Carl made her Cyclone debut vs. Baylor.
-The Big 12 implemented a nine-match, conference-only 2020 schedule to ensure consistent health and safety protocols.
