The Lead
The 23rd-ranked Iowa State women's basketball team returns home to take on No. 1 South Carolina in the SEC/Big 12 Challenge on Sunday at 11 a.m. on ESPNU. The Cyclones are looking to improve to 2-0 on the season in Hilton Coliseum in their first-ever meeting with South Carolina. ISU is also 2-2 all-time in the SEC/Big 12 Challenge.

- Iowa State has never beaten a No. 1 team in program history, having gone 0-7 against No. 1 all-time.
- Junior Ashley Joens is first in the Big 12 and ranks second in the nation in scoring, averaging 31.3 points a game. Joens has notched back-to-back 30point outings, dropping 36 points at SDSU and 33 at TCU in the Big 12 opener.
