Dear Cyclone fans,
As we get closer to the start of the fall sports seasons, we felt it was important to share several updates with you.
- The Big 12 Presidents voted earlier this week to limit non-conference football schedules to one game. As a result, we must cancel two non-conference games. We are currently working with all three opponents to determine the best pathway forward. Any decision is dependent upon scheduling parameters from other conferences and NCAA policies, which may delay the decision.
 - The Big 12 is reworking its 2020 football schedule to create more flexibility given the anticipated need for bye weeks to accommodate potential coronavirus-related delays. We will still play the same opponents at home this year, but we anticipate new dates from what was originally released.
 - The conference expects the Big 12 schedule to begin Sept. 26. We anticipate our non-conference game to be played Sept. 12.
Our department and campus continues to evaluate appropriate COVID-19 mitigation strategies necessary to safely play sports this fall while hosting spectators at those events. Â When the information becomes more definitive, we will share it with you.
