- The 14th-ranked Iowa State women's basketball team looks to continue its undefeated streak to start the year against Southern. ISU is 3-0 for the first time since 2018-19.
- As of Nov. 18, ISU is one of just 22 teams in the nation to remain undefeated and win all of its games by 19 or more points. ISU is also one of just nine teams in the AP Poll to win all of its games by 19 or more.Â
- Ashley Joens is one of just eight players in the nation averaging at least 21.0 points and 8.5 rebounds. Last season the All-American averaged 24.2 points per game en route to being named the Cheryl Miller Award Winner.
- Emily Ryan has tallied 15 steals so far this season, she ranks ties for third in the nation in steals per game with 5.0. In ISU's season opener against Omaha, she tied the school record with nine steals. Her nine steals are also second in a single game in the NCAA this season.
- Donarski has started the season off with a bang, averaging 19.0 points a game. She has also averaging 3.7 3-pointers a game.
- Iowa State has four student-athletes averaging double figures through three games this season, beginning with Ashley Joens (21.0), Lexi Donarski (19.0), Emily Ryan (11.3) and Aubrey Joens (10.7).
- Iowa State has used a different starting lineup in all three of its games this season. ISU's lineup has featured eight different players.
- Three of Iowa State's starters for this season earned recognition by the Big 12 coaches to begin the year, with Ashley Joens and Lexi Donarski earning Preseason First-Team All-Big 12 honors. Sophomore Emily Ryan earned honorable mention honors.

- The Iowa State women's basketball team is off to a 3-0 start for the first time since 2018-19 after a 22-point win over Drake, 98-76. Iowa State's win at Drake was the first for the Cyclones since the 2013 season.
- As a team, Iowa State shot 47.8 percent from the floor and knocked down a season-high 15 triples.
- Ashley Joens led the way for the Cyclones with her first 30-point outing and double-double of the season, scoring 31 points and grabbing 12 boards.
- Aubrey Joens was stellar as well, totaling a career-high 18 points, going 5-of-11 from long range. She also added a career-high four steals and added five boards.

- Senior guard Ashley Joens is flying up the NCAA's active career leader rankings.
- Joens is currently eighth in the NCAA in active career scoring average, netting 18.3 points per contest.
- She ranks first in active career scoring among true seniors in the NCAA, with 1,743 career points.
- Joens is also tied for 10th in career double-doubles with 32.
- Joens is swiftly climbing the NCAA's career free-throws made category, with 436 made in her career, which ranks ninth.
- Joens also ranks seventh in career free-throw percentage at 82.4 percent.
- With 785 career boards, Joens checks in at 20th among active NCAA players.
Big 12 Strong
- The Big 12 conference has started off the 2021-22 season strong with a 25-2 overall record, which is the best in the NCAA thus far. The Big 12's .926 win percentage sits ahead of the Big Ten (.915) and Pac-12 (.900)
- This season the Cyclones were tabbed to finish tied for second place in the Big 12 with Texas.
Welcome To Iowa State
- With the NCAA granting immediate eligibility to transfers this season, Iowa State added two newcomers, who were granted immediate eligibility.
- The Cyclones welcomed center Beatriz Jordão from South Florida, where she appeared in 63 games with the Bulls in three seasons.Â
