SAN DIEGO, Calif. – The Iowa State tennis team wrapped up action at the ITA Fall National Championships Saturday afternoon at the Barnes Tennis Center.
The Cyclones dropped both matches on the day as Thasaporn Naklo finished 2-2 in singles action.
Naklo fell to No. 55 Lisa Zaar of Pepperdine in three sets. She took the first set 6-0, but dropped the next two, 6-4, 7-5. Naklo finishes the fall season with a 12-3 record in singles action and became the first Cyclone singles player to qualify for the national tournament.
Naklo and Christin Hsieh dropped a 6-3, 6-4 decision to Michigan State's Mary Lewis and Maja Pietrowicz to conclude their tournament run in the quarterfinals of the consolation bracket.
As a duo, Naklo and Hsieh finished the fall season with a 9-4 record.
Miska Kadleckova and Sofia Cabezas saw their tournament end on Friday evening, finishing 1-1. They were 9-3 this fall playing together.
