WACO, Texas – The Iowa State women's sprinters, hurdlers and jumpers were in action Saturday at the Michael Johnson Invitational in Baylor, bringing home some solid performances from the Clyde Hart Track & Field Complex.
Kaylyn Hall had her best hurdling effort of the season on Saturday, as she finished 12th overall against a very strong field in the 100-meter hurdles in 13.78, not far off her personal best of 13.65.
Another strong performer on the day for ISU was Jalaiya Bartley in the women's triple jump. Back in her home state, the Texan put up a season-best leap of 40-2 1/4 (12.25m) to finish in 10th place.
ISU finished the meet with its best finish of the day, with the quartet of Bria Barnes, Zakiyah Amos, Erika Furbeck and Katarina Vlahovic taking sixth in the 4x400m relay in 3:44.81. Furbeck was ninth in the long jump earlier in the day, with a best effort of 18-11 3/4w (5.78m), while Amos was 10th in the 400m dash in 55.80.

Iowa State will be at the Drake Relays in Des Moines, beginning with the Distance Carnival on Thursday evening, and then in competition on Friday and Saturday afternoon at Drake Stadium. A group of student-athletes will also head to Eugene for the Oregon Relays on Friday and Saturday.
