AMES, Iowa - Iowa State wraps up its matches against in-state foes on Wednesday night when the Cyclones take on UNI at 7 p.m. inside the McLeod Center in Cedar Falls.

Iowa State was at the Cy-Hawk Series Tournament in Coralville last weekend, going 2-1 with victories over Ball State and Syracuse and falling to in-state rivals Iowa. The Cyclone attack was led by Candelaria Herrera, who had 3.00 kills per set at .429 hitting, while Eleanor Holthaus averaged 3.83 kills per set at .310 hitting across the three matches.
The UNI Panthers enter Wednesday's match with a 4-5 record after going 2-1 at Washington State last weekend, sweeping Gonzaga and Long Beach State, but being swept by the host Cougars. The Panthers run a 6-1 offense, with former Cyclone Jenna Brandt as one of the setters. The other setter, freshman Tayler Alden, also plays at right side and averages 1.40 kills per set. The Panther attack is led by Emily Holterhaus, who averages 2.17 kills per set, while Kira Fallert gets 2.07 kills per set. The Panthers have a strong block, averaging 2.30 blocks per set with Carly Spies leading the way at 1.10 per set.
Wednesday will be the 58th all-time meeting between the Cyclones and Panthers, with ISU leading the all-time series 29-28. ISU has won the last two meetings, taking the most recent meeting in 2019 in Ames 3-1 and sweeping the Panthers in Cedar Falls in 2018. Iowa State head coach Christy Johnson-Lynch is 12-4 all-time against UNI.
