Kajuru, Kezuka to Play in Doubles Championship At ITA Regionals

STILLWATER, Okla. - Sophomore Ange Oby Kajuru and Senior Chie Kezuka will compete for the ITA Regionals doubles title tomorrow after earning a hard-fought win in the semifinals in the central region.
In their only doubles match of the day, the Iowa State duo took on Dana Guzman and Julia Garcia Ruiz from Oklahoma and came out on top with a final score of 6-4, 7-6(5), becoming the third doubles pair in school history to clinch a bid to the ITA Fall National Championships. The two are set to go head to head with Anet Koskel and Zoey Weil from Minnesota.
Christin Hsieh played two matches and won her consolation bracket. In her first match, Hsieh defeated Jocelyn Massey from the University of Kansas 7-6(4), 6-2. Then, in her next match, the senior from Tapei, Taiwan battled Kansas State's Rozalia Gruszczynska and came out on top 6-4, 4-6, 1-0 (7).
