AMES, Iowa – Iowa State (15-7, 7-2 Big 12) hosts TCU (11-9, 6-3 Big 12) Friday night at 6:30 p.m. The Cyclones have six-straight Big 12 wins, the longest conference winning streak since 2016. Iowa State's 7-2 start to conference play is the best since the 2013 season.
The match will be streamed on Big 12 Now on ESPN+.
Tickets are five for $5 at this link. Friday will be the Halloween match with trick or treating and pumpkin decorating on the concourse. A complimentary volleyball ticket will be given to any football fan who shows their Oklahoma football ticket. The student giveaway is a 32-inch TV while there will also be a costume contest.
LAST TIME OUT
Iowa State swept the match and the season series with the victory over West Virginia. It is the first series sweep over WVU since 2019 where the Cyclones swept the Mountaineers in both matches.
Eleanor Holthaus notched her ninth-straight 10-plus kill match, finalizing 13 and coming one dig shy of her third-straight double-double. Solei Thomas was the second Cyclone to hit more than 10 kills as the senior hit 12 at .360 hitting.
Holthaus is now two sets away from breaking the school record of 468 sets played. The fifth-year senior is also four matches away from breaking the school record of most matches played (129).
Kate Shannon matched her career high of three aces for the third time this season. Holthaus added two to total five aces in the match.
Brooke Stonestreet stretched her streak to 19-straight 10-plus dig matches with a total of 18. Both Stonestreet (5.14 digs per set) and Iowa State (15.54 digs per set) lead the conference in Big 12 play.
TCU
TCU came back from being down 0-2 against Kansas last night for their third reverse sweep this season. Audrey Nalls currently leads conference matchups with an average of 4.70 kills per set.
Iowa State claims the advantage in the all-time series 17-4. TCU won the first matchup 3-1 this season in Iowa State's conference-opening match.
