AMES, Iowa – The Iowa State tennis program has announced its 2023 spring schedule as it looks to reach the NCAA Tournament for the third-straight season.
The schedule features 12 of 20 matches against teams that participated in the 2022 NCAA Tournament.
The season will start January 5-7 at the Hawaii Spring Invitational with a hidden dual format.
The dual season officially gets started January 14 when the Cyclones travel to Drake to face the Bulldogs and South Dakota in a pair of matches.
In the nonconference, ISU plays NCAA qualifiers Auburn, UCLA, Memphis, VCU and Old Dominion, as well as a match against either Miami (Fla.) or Florida International.
The annual Iowa Corn Cy-Hawk Series showdown against is February 24 in Iowa City. The Cyclones are looking to beat the Hawkeyes for a third-straight time.
In Big 12 action, ISU will host Kansas, Kansas State, TCU and Texas Tech, while road matches will be against Baylor, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas and West Virginia.
Conference action starts March 10 against Kansas.
The Cyclones enter the season having won 28 of 35 matches at home the last four seasons.
Home matches in February will be held at Life Time Fitness in Urbandale, Iowa. In March and April, home matches will be in Ames at either Ames Fitness Center or Ames High School.
