Cyclone Pair Falls At ITA Fall National Championships

SAN DIEGO, Calif. - Ange Oby Kajuru and Chie Kezuka lost a nail biter in the round of 32 in doubles play on day one of the ITA Fall National Championships.
Iowa State's Central Region doubles champions took on Delaware's Atlantic Region doubles champions Adel-Byanu Abidullina and Eliza Askarova in the round of 32 in a match that went down to the wire.Â
Kezuka and Kajuru started things off slow and struggled to get anything going in the first set falling, 4-6.
In the second set the Iowa State duo dominated, winning the set with a score of 6-1.
The first to 10 tiebreaker set went down to the wire, however the Cyclones would lose, 1-0(9).
Iowa State will play in the consolation bracket Thursday.
