Cyclones Wrap Up Weekend at Texas State, N.C. State

SAN MARCOS, Texas – Iowa State wrapped up it first weekend of outdoor competition at the Raleigh Relays and the Bobcat Invitational on Saturday. The day was highlighted by a pair of second-place finishes by women's sprinters and hurdlers in Texas.
Bria Barnes had a strong indoor season, and showed that she would be bringing that form outdoors with her effort in the 400-meter dash on Saturday. She crossed the line in second in 54.40, her best 400 as a collegian and good for No. 7 in Iowa State outdoor history for the event, the fastest quarter-mile by a Cyclone since 2015.
A day after picking up the win in the 400-meter hurdles, Kaylyn Hall was at it again in the 100-meter hurdles, taking second in a wind-legal personal best of 13.34. Her run also allowed the Canadian to move up to No. 3 in Iowa State outdoor history for the event.

Iowa State will have student-athletes at the Stanford Invitational. Competition will take place on Friday and Saturday.
