Gaitan to Compete in U20 Pan-American Championships

AMES, Iowa - MJ Gaitan is set to compete at the U20 Pan-American Championships in Oaxtepec, Mexico Friday, July 8. Gaitan, an incoming freshman on the Cyclone wrestling team, will compete in the 77kg Greco-Roman weight class.Â
Fans can follow along with the action live on FloWrestling begining at 11 a.m.(CT).
Gaitan, a U.S. Open U20 champion, will wrestle Ricardo Emanuel Montero Zuniga of Ecaudor in round one and Erick Jose Martinez Mateo of Puerto Rico in round three. The top four wrestlers from the opening three rounds will advance to the semifinals.
