LUBBOCK, Texas - Iowa State teammates Ange Oby Kajuru and Anna Supapitch Kuearum went head-to-head in the first round of the qualifying draw at the Lubbock 15k.
It was Kajuru who came out victorious, taking down her peer by a score of 6-2, 6-2.Â
Next up to play for Iowa State was Thasaporn Naklo, who took care of Camryn Stepp of Texas Tech in straight sets. Naklo won the match, 6-3, 6-1.
Kajuru and Naklo are scheduled to play tomorrow for a chance to win a main draw bid.
