Cyclone Finish Day One at Big 12 Fall Invite

WACO, Texas – The Iowa State women's tennis team competed at the Big 12 Fall Invite on Thursday at Baylor University.
Anna Supapitch Kuearum started the day with singles action against Texas Tech's Cristina Tiglea. Kuearum won the first set, 6-2, before falling in consecutive sets, 4-6, 0-1 (6).
Isabella Dunlap took on the third overall seed in Flight Two, Texas Tech's Andreea Lila. Dunlap battled but ultimately fall, 4-6, 4-6.
Juliette Nask finished the day for Iowa State, taking on BYU's Kaavya Sawhney. Nask took the first set, 6-1, before dropping the next set, 1-6. Nask then played a hard-fought tiebreaker, ultimately falling, 8-10, in the tiebreak.
The Cyclones will be back in action tomorrow, with doubles action starting at 9 a.m. and singles action to follow.
