Iowa State Moves Into 14th Place In Orlando

ORLANDO, Fla. – The Iowa State women's golf team moved into 14th place during the second round of the UCF Challenge. The team improved five shots from yesterday and posted a 287 for an overall score of 579 (292-287).
Karisa Chul-Ak-Sorn dominated round two with a bogey-free 67 to jump into a tie for eighth place. Chul-Ak-Sorn knocked in five birdies and will head into the final round at seven-under par in the individual standings.
Charley Jacobs finished second on the team after starting off her day with a hole-out eagle. Jacobs recorded two birdies after the eagle and concluded her day with an even round of 72.
Taglao Jeeravivitaporn is third on the team in scoring this week. Jeeravivitaporn holds a 147 total through the first two days and carded a two-over 74 during round two.
Liyana Durisic and Ruby Chou are both tied for 79th place going into the final day of the tournament. Chou posted a two-over round of 74 and Durisic wrapped up her round with a three-over 75.
