AMES, Iowa – Iowa State (11-2, 2-0 Big 12) hosts No. 18 Baylor (6-5, 0-1 Big 12) this Saturday, Sept. 30 and Sunday, Oct. 1. ISU and Baylor will meet for the 67th and 68th time in series history.

LAST TIME OUT
Iowa State opened conference with two straight-set victories over West Virginia, hitting over .300 in both matches. In the second sweep, ISU hit at .417 making for the 15th time under Christy Johnson-Lynch to hit at .400 or better. It is the first time breaking .400 since Sept. 13, 2019 and the first conference match since Nov. 23, 2018. The Cyclones have five matches this season with an efficiency of at least .300.
Maya Duckworth hit 17 kills at .441 in the second sweep of WVU, averaging 5.67 kills per set. Through both sweeps, Duckworth totaled 27 kills at .367 (4.50 per set).
BY THE NUMBERS
5 – Christy Johnson-Lynch moved into sole possession of the fifth-most Big 12 wins in conference history by a volleyball head coach after breaking the tie at 192 at WVU. Johnson-Lynch now holds 194 league victories.
7 – Iowa State has swept seven opponents through the first 13 matches, including a current streak of four.
17 – Sophomore Morgan Brandt is the 17th in ISU history to pass 1,000 career assists. Brandt totaled her 1,000th on Sept. 21 in Morgantown and currently holds 1,043.

No. 18 Baylor (6-5, 0-1 Big 12)
Baylor has met six ranked opponents this season. The Bears took the victory vs. No. 19 Ohio State in five sets while taking a set against No. 2 Wisconsin, No. 11 Washington State and No. 18 Rice. Baylor met then-No. 10 BYU to open conference, losing in three sets. BU has three players ranking top-30 nationally in the categories of hitting percentage (No. 22 Manuela Bibinbe, 0.428), assists (No. 27 Averi Carlson, 10.56 per set) and kills (No. 29 Kyndal Stowers, 4.16 per set).
Last season, ISU and BU split the series. Iowa State took the win at Hilton while Baylor was ranked 13th in the nation, and Baylor took the win in four sets in Waco.
