TAMPA, Florida – Iowa State put up three top-10 ranked marks in school history in the second day of the USF Invite. ISU closes the outdoor opener with two event wins and three top 10 program performances.
With Betty Rosvold's first throw in the discus, the junior transfer from Nebraska made her ISU event debut memorable with the second-farthest throw in ISU history (179-11, 54.85m). That mark would hold as her best to place third.

Kevin Sakson put up a big discus season-opening mark of 191-1 (58.24m), a personal record to move up to now rank No. 6 in ISU history. Sakson placed second in the event, while Blake Veenstra took 11th with 159-0 (48.48m) and multi-event athlete Kole Becker 20th with a PR of 126-4 (38.52m).
