AMES, Iowa -Â The Iowa State men's golf team look to build off their strong start after placing 1st last week at the Gopher Invitational. The Cyclones will travel this week to Cincinnati, Ohio for the Bearcat Invitational.Â

COURSE INFORMATION
Coldstream Country Club is one of Cincinnati's premier private clubs, situated on 190 acres, featuring an elite, championship 18-hole golf course. The Coldstream Country Club found a spot on Golf Connoisseur's 100 Most Prestigious Private Clubs in America. Coldstream Country Club's par-71 18-hole golf course measures 7,279. The Dick Wilson-designed golf course that first opened in 1959 has earned a 74.7 course rating and a 140 slope rating. Teams will play 36 holes on Monday and finish with 18 holes on Tuesday.Â
KEY STORYLINES
- Iowa State picked up the win last week at the Gopher Invitational, edging out host Minnesota by two strokes.Â
- Freshman Luke Metcalf carded a 65 in the third round last week, tying the second lowest round in Iowa State history (Gutschewski, 63 and Beauvy, 65).Â
- Both Metcalf and Luke Gutschewski finished with twelve birdies each last week, leading the Cyclones, as Zach May carded ten birdies.Â
- Junior Paul Beauvy joins Gutschewski (71.52) in the top five of the career stroke average list, as he sits in fourth at 72.07. Beauvy has 11 sub-70 rounds in his career and has turned in six Top 10 finishes.
- Owen Sawyer's 73.03 stroke average was the fifth-best in program history by a freshman last season.
