AMES, Iowa -Â The Iowa State men's golf team will head to West Des Moines, Iowa, as they look to defend their title they won last year at the Zach Johnson Invitational.

COURSE INFORMATION
The golf course at Glen Oaks Country Club is designed by world-renowned golf course architect Tom Fazio. The golf course is both beautiful and challenging. Glen Oaks is known for providing second-to-none golf course conditioning. The golf course is consistently ranked in the top 3 in the state of Iowa by Golf Digest and was ranked #1 course in the state of Iowa in 2011. Glen Oaks is a par 71 and measures 6,950 yards. Teams will play 36 holes on Monday and wrap up the final 18 holes on Tuesday.
KEY STORYLINES
- Iowa State finished in a tie for fifth last week at the Bearcat Invitational.Â
- Owen Sawyer had his best finish of his career last week, tying for tenth with a score of 213. Sawyer also jumps into the Top-10 of the career stroke average list, placing in ninth (72.90).Â
- Sawyer, along with Paul Beauvy and Luke Gutschewski, each finished with ten birdies last week, leading the Cyclones.Â
- Beauvy jumps into the Top-3 of the career stroke average list, as he sits in third at 72.00. Beauvy has twelve sub-70 rounds in his career and has turned in seven Top 10 finishes.
- Dianchao Wu played as an individual last week, but he had a career best finish, finishing in a tie for 24th and carding a 216, his second-lowest 54-hole score.
- The Cyclones picked up three wins last season, taking home titles at the Iowa Fall Classic, the Zach Johnson Invitational and the Tiger Collegiate Invitational. It was the first time since 2016-17 that ISU has won three events in the same season. The Cyclones also picked up a victory at the Gopher Invitational earlier this season.
