AMES, Iowa – No. 25 Iowa State takes on the final Big 12 road trip of 2025 traveling to Cincinnati and West Virginia. ISU secured the 11th 20-win season under Christy Johnson-Lynch last time out with the four-set win vs. No. 16 TCU, the 400th victory of Johnson-Lynch's career.

By the Numbers
1 – Morgan Brandt leads all active Big 12 players with 3,604 career assists. The total ranks fourth in program history.
2 – Rachel Van Gorp is now a two-time Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week, becoming one of two in the league to earn multiple this season and the ninth multi-time DPOTW in program history.
3 – Christy Johnson-Lynch ranks No. 3 all time in Big 12 history with 217 league victories.
3 – Iowa State is one of three schools (Indiana, Colorado) currently in the top 20 of the RPI that finished outside the top 80 of last season's final ranking.
8 – ISU's record is the best mark through 25 matches in eight seasons. Iowa State ended non-conference at 10-1, also the best record since 2017.
10 – Iowa State ranks top 10 nationally with 14.24 kills per set. ISU also ranks 14th nationally with 13.14 assists per set. Both averages lead the Big 12.
10 – Maya Duckworth now ranks 10th in Iowa State history with 1,042 kills. Duckworth became the 12th in ISU history to join the 1,000-kill club.
The 2025 Cyclones
Christy Johnson-Lynch secured win No. 400 as ISU picked up its fourth ranked win of 2025 against No. 16 TCU. Iowa State is now 20-5 on the season and 10-4 in Big 12 play, the best season record through 25 matches since 2011.
Nayeli Ti'a led ISU with 20 kills at .280 vs. TCU, her first 20-kill match as a Cyclone. Ti'a had 30 kills, 18 digs, two blocks and an ace on the week. Amiree Hendricks-Walker had 20 kills at .474, the highest hitting percentage in the Big 12 last week among players with 12 or more kills. She also led ISU with nine total blocks.
Two Cyclones had double-doubles last week. Faith DeRonde had the first of her career with 12 kills at .345 and 10 digs at Houston, and Morgan Brandt had the 30th of her career with 38 assists and 10 digs vs. TCU.
The Opponents
Iowa State will play on Cincinnati's home court for the first time and rides a series win streak that began in 2011 of four matches. This season the Bearcats have taken a set from four ranked opponents, all in Big 12 play. Cincinnati ranks third in the Big 12 hitting at 0.253, and fourth in blocks averaging 2.56 per set.
ISU and WVU match up for the second time this season. Iowa State took the win back on Oct. 16 in four sets. The Mountaineers sealed the ranked win vs. No. 19 BYU this season, and took No. 24 Colorado to five sets in Boulder. WVU is hitting at 0.248 this season, the fifth-highest percentage in the league.

Following the road trip, Iowa State closes the Big 12 schedule next week hosting Kansas Wednesday, Nov. 26 and Kansas State Saturday, Nov. 29. Christy Johnson-Lynch will be honored for her 400th win prior to the Kansas match, and senior day takes place vs. K-State.
