AMES, Iowa – No. 21 Iowa State (22-5, 12-4 Big 12) enters the final week of regular season hosting No. 16 Kansas and Kansas State. ISU will honor six seniors following the K-State match, while the NCAA Championship Selection Show will be televised on ESPN Sunday at 5 p.m.

Iowa State will honor Christy Johnson-Lynch for win No. 400 prior to the Kansas match, while Wednesday is also Fansgiving. All fans will have the opportunity to win raffle prizes. Saturday is Senior Day and the Hilton Holiday match.

1 – Morgan Brandt leads all active Big 12 players with 3,695 career assists. The total ranks fourth in program history.
2 – Rachel Van Gorp is now a two-time Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week, becoming one of three in the league to earn multiple this season and the ninth multi-time DPOTW in program history.
3 – Christy Johnson-Lynch ranks No. 3 all time in Big 12 history with 219 league victories.
3 – Iowa State is one of three schools (Indiana, Colorado) currently in the top 20 of the RPI that finished outside the top 80 of last season's final ranking.
8 – Iowa State ranks eighth nationally with 14.36 kills per set. ISU also ranks 11th in the nation with 13.25 assists per set. The kill and assist averages lead the Big 12.
10 – Maya Duckworth now ranks 10th in Iowa State history with 1,065 kills. Duckworth became the 12th in ISU history to join the 1,000-kill club.
12 – Iowa State has 12 Big 12 wins for the first time since 2012. ISU currently stands in second place in the league standings.
14 – ISU's record is the best mark through 27 matches in 14 seasons.
The 2025 Cyclones
ISU moved into second place in the Big 12 rankings following the road wins at Cincinnati and West Virginia. Iowa State is at No. 21 this week in the AVCA Poll with a 22-5 record. It's the best record through 27 matches since 2011, while the last time ISU was ranked as high as 21 in the week 13 poll was in 2012. ISU is at No. 20 in the RPI.
At Cincinnati, setter Morgan Brandt came one kill shy of a triple-double with 56 assists, 11 digs and an errorless nine kills at .692. Nayeli Ti'a was a powerhouse last week, hitting 38 kills (4.22 per set) at a clip of .354. Ti'a also had double-doubles in both matches (19 kills, 12 digs and 19 kills, 10 digs) and has put up three-straight 20-plus point matches.
The Opponents
Iowa State meets both Kansas and K-State for the second time this season. In October, ISU went on the road and won at Kansas State, and took a set at Kansas as the Jayhawks were ranked 15th nationally. ISU's last win against Kansas happened Nov. 11, 2023 in a five-setter at Hilton as Kansas was ranked at No. 14.
