AMES, Iowa – Iowa State junior Audi Crooks earned Big 12 Player of the Week status for the second time this season, announced by the Conference on Monday afternoon. Crooks broke her own Iowa State single-game scoring record and helped No. 10 Iowa State stay perfect with a 106-95 win over Indiana on Sunday. The Cyclones captured the GEICO Coconut Hoops Blue Heron Division Championship and Crooks was named the MVP with all-tournament team honors.
Crooks poured in an Iowa State record 47 points on 19-of-25 shooting from the floor and went 9-of-11 at the free throw line on Sunday. Both her point and field goal totals were Iowa State single-game records. The previous bests were also at least partially held by Crooks (43 points, 18 field goals). Against Indiana, Crooks shot 76 percent from the floor and nearly 82 percent (9-11) from the free throw line in an efficient 31 minutes of action. She also pulled down four rebounds and passed out two assists in the Cyclone victory. In 22 minutes against Marquette, Crooks posted 18 points with six rebounds. The Algona, Iowa native has posted double-figure scoring in 76 straight games, the longest active streak in NCAA women's basketball.
