- Tutor
- The Tutoring Program experience allows student-athletes the opportunity to further their knowledge in a specific area. The intent of the program is to uphold the integrity of the educational process while integrating independent thinking and learning skills. Tutors ultimately assist with course content and study strategies. All tutorial staff is trained to comply with Iowa State University, Big 12, and NCAA rules and guidelines.
OSAD provides one-on-one tutoring, group tutoring, course specific tutoring, as well as a satellite office support from the campus Writing Center. Tutorial assistance is offered to all student-athletes. Tutorial assistance is offered to all student-athletes. Student-athletes request a tutor and schedule tutoring by using our EAB scheduling system.
- Mentor
- The Mentoring Program is designed to help first-year student-athletes acclimate to Iowa State University and collegiate academia. Student-athletes meet with their peer mentor to find more efficient ways to organize, manage their time, improve study skills and test preparation. All mentors are trained in the same fashion as academic tutors.

- Communications The Iowa State Athletics Communications Department is responsible for disseminating information and promoting all of Iowa State's 18 sports. Student work duties include: direct liaison with the local and national media to promote student-athletes, coaches and administrators, compiling statistics for all sports, crafting promotional materials (game notes, game programs, record books), produce content for Cyclones.com (press releases, game stories, game previews, feature stories), implement social media strategies for all sports, labeling and organizing photos from events.

- Creative Services
- Creative Services exists to support the Iowa State Athletics’ Senior Leadership Team, Communication and Marketing Teams, and the different sports departments with professional design work for posters, social media graphics, sport-specific season templates, motion graphics, and special print projects. We work to maintain the consistency of the ISU Athletics’ brand across all mediums. The team includes the Director of Creative Services (art director and senior designer) and a group of 3-5 talented ISU design students (paid positions). The students are usually design majors interested in pursuing graphic design careers with sports graphics, ad agencies, marketing firms, etc.

- Student Photographers
- This opportunity is for college level students looking to gain real world photography experience and build their portfolio. In addition, students should have an interest in sports and Iowa State Athletics. Candidates should have their own equipment and should be comfortable using photo editing software to promptly edit their images for publishing on Iowa State social media platforms. - Live Production Crew
- We are always looking to hire undergraduate students to be a part of the live production crew for Jack Trice and Hilton Coliseum videoboards, as well as live broadcasts on Cyclones.tv and ESPN+

- Event Manangement
- Event Staff
- Event staff responsibilities include scanning tickets using mobile scanner, greeting guests as they enter the facility, providing directions in the arena, answering questions pertaining to events and promotions, and serving as a resource in the event of an emergency while maintaining a positive, customer-focused attitude. The position is primarily based out of Hilton Coliseum, but workers will occasionally serve at Jack Trice Stadium for special events.
- Event Management Interns
- Event management interns are responsible for assisting full-time event staff with their duties regarding events. This includes assisting with set-up and tear-down of events and regular office hours which range in responsibilities dependent on the time of year and athletic season. Interns are also assigned a sport to oversee the operations of, including scheduling staff, set-up and tear-down, and serving as “Manager on Duty” for all home games.
- Must be able to: work all home football games, work nights and weekends, lift 45 pounds and stand for long period of time – this position often requires physical tasks.

- Production Crew
- Setting up and striking events held at the Scheman Building, Hilton Coliseum, and other locations. Tasks include setting and striking tables, chairs, podiums, AV equipment, food & beverage stations, dance floors, and other equipment. This is a part-time hourly position that works on an as needed basis and includes many morning, night, and weekend shifts. The work schedule is put out week to week with employees signing up for shifts that fit their schedule. A shift is usually anywhere from 2 to 6 hours. We are very flexible with class schedules. This is a manual labor position.

- Assist the full time Premium Services & Special Events staff in their duties including, but not limited to overseeing premium spaces and gameday operations in Jack Trice Stadium and Hilton Coliseum, serve as the main point of contact on gamedays for premium guests and staff, ensure high quality customer service, and assist with Cyclone Club office operations and other athletics special events including the Athletics Director Reception, Cyclone Tailgate Tour, and Cy’s House of Trivia
- Must be able to: Work most, if not all, home football games, working assigned events including on nights and weekends, perform general office tasks and other duties as assigned, and must commit to regularly scheduled office hours (Flexible scheduling, no more than 20 hours per week)

- Marketing
- Our mission in Athletics Marketing is to generate revenue for the athletic department, increase attendance at Iowa State sporting events and provide an exciting atmosphere for those who attend. We are responsible for marketing plans, writing game/meet scripts, executing in-game promotions, creating advertisements, managing budgets and various other marketing activities.
- Our team consists of two different groups: office interns (paid) & promo crew (unpaid volunteers). Both groups will work together to help the staff put on great events for our fans.
- Students who volunteer for Promo Crew are unpaid and asked to help with various athletic department events. Promo Crew offers a taste of the events side of marketing and an opportunity to gauge an interest in the career field.
- We expect that each member of our team will work cooperatively and collaboratively towards the goals established both personally and by the full-time staff. We also expect you to have fun. It is a privilege to work in college athletics; it is important that you enjoy it.
- Working in the Iowa State Athletics Marketing Office is a great first step for students interested in working in collegiate or professional athletics.

- Ticket Office
- The Iowa State Athletics Ticket Office is responsible for providing accurate information over the phone and in person as well as assisting with the day-to-day ticket operation duties within a NCAA Division I athletics department. Student responsibilities include: utilize the Ticketmaster ticketing system to create and update customer accounts, complete ticket orders over the phone and at the window, adhere to NCAA regulations, and correctly process mail orders, forms, and requests.
