AMES, Iowa - Iowa State's offense failed to produce for the second consecutive game, resulting in an 81-62 loss to Missouri and back-to-back home losses for the first time since 1997.
ISU (10-10, 3-6) committed fewer turnovers and outrebounded the Tigers, but shot just 33.3 percent from the floor. Missouri (12-8, 3-6) hit 54.4 percent of its shots, including 47.4 percent from 3-point territory. The Cyclones hit 4-of-21 from behind the arc for just 19 percent accuracy. It was the best shooting performance by an ISU opponent this season and the best shooting percentage by an opponent in Hilton Coliseum since Kansas hit 55.8 percent in 1996.
Katie Robinette and Lisa Kriener had 13 points each to lead Iowa State, while Anne O'Neil added 10. Missouri's Evan Unrau scored a game-high 19 points, while MyEsha Perkins and Stretch James added 18 points each.
The first half saw five lead changes until Missouri went on a 6-0 run to take over the lead for good with 7:30 left before the break. The Tigers went on a 14-7 run to close out the half and led 40-27 at the break.
Iowa State whittled away at Missouri's lead to begin the second half, but would get no closer than seven points with 16:14 left to play. The Tigers used a 22-6 scoring advantage over the next eight minutes to go up 66-43.
