Wrestling Opens Season Against Buena Vista

First-year head wrestling coach, Cael Sanderson and the Cyclones will open the season Friday night against Buena Vista (Division III) at 6 p.m. at the Ames High School. ISU comes into the dual ranked among the top 10 in four polls. Individually Iowa State boasts ranked wrestlers at eight weight classes. Buena Vista, ranked 11^th, has ranked wrestlers at 133 and 184 pounds.

The Cyclones will travel to Fort Dodge, Iowa, Saturday to compete in the Harold Nichols Open hosted by Iowa Central Community College. Nate Gallick, Jason Knipp, Trent and Travis Paulson each claimed titles last year.
