HONOLULU, Hawaii - The Iowa State women's tennis team ends its spring break road trip is Hawaii with a loss to Washington State on Thursday. Cyclone junior Danielle Uscinski captured her second singles win of the week. She defeated WSU's Aleksandra Cekic 6-2, 7-6 (7-1) in the No. 3 spot. Washington State captured the rest of the singles and doubles matches to win the match 6-1.
At No. 2 doubles ISU's Elizabeth Chermel and Kara Hickey picked up the lone doubles win. The duo defeated Washington State's Maria Ring and Tessa Hollyn Taub 8-4.
The Cyclones return home next weeked to host Big 12 rival No. 54 Texas Tech on March 25. The match will begin at 11 a.m. and will be held at the Ames Racquet and Fitness Center.
