Creighton started off the second half scoring in the 54th-minute on a goal by Shawn Magrum, tying the game at one apiece.
The Bluejays kept firing late in the game, but Cyclone goalkeeper Ann Gleason earned four saves to record her second win of the season.

Sophomore Leslie Hill led the Cyclones with five shots, more than doubling her total for the season. Junior Stephanie Kaphingst added four shots in the team's effort to outshoot Creighton, 21-13. Hornbacher said, "One of our goals tonight was to take chances and to not be afraid to take risks with putting shots on goal. I told the women before the game that ?we are not going to score until we take shots and continue to test the goalkeeper.'" The Cyclones did just that. Four Cyclones took three shots or more in the contest, a team season high.
