Cyclones Host KU In Final Home Series

AMES, Iowa - Iowa State (22-39, 1-15 Big 12) will play host to Kansas in its final home series of the season. The Cyclones and Jayhawks will meet Saturday at 2 p.m. and Sunday at noon. The Sunday contest will serve as Senior Day as ISU honors its seven seniors.

Scouting Kansas
The Jayhawks (32-21-1, 7-9 Big 12) dropped a pair of games Wednesday night at Wichita State as their losing streak ran to three straight ... senior Kassie Humphreys pitched well enough to get the win, allowing just one run, but was outdueled by Wichita State's Margo Pruis, who allowed just one hit ... in the second game, KU scored four runs in the third to tie the game but the Shockers got to Humphreys in the sixth on a two-run homer to complete the sweep ... Humphreys, a 2006 all-Big 12 first team selection, is 18-13 with a 2.17 ERA this season ... Valerie George joins Humphreys on the staff and has a posted a 9-4 record with a 2.08 ERA ... offensively, Stevie Crisosto leads the Jayhawks, who hit just .238 collectively, with a .304 batting average ... catcher Elle Pottorf paces the team with nine homers and 37 RBI.

Kansas defeated ISU, 7-4, in March in Tulsa as KU scored five runs in the first two innings and cruised to the win ... Jessica Quade and Amie Ford had homers in the game for ISU ...
